Clare-Marie graduated with a First Class BSc (Hons) in Podiatry in 1994 from the Northampton School of Podiatry, University of Leicester. 

After graduating, Clare-Marie joined the NHS as a Podiatrist working in community clinics in West Berkshire and at the Royal Berkshire and Battle Hospitals treating patients in High Risk Podiatry clinics with Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and other diseases causing severe foot problems.

Since entering the private sector in 2001 Clare-Marie has worked as a Podiatrist for Boots Healthcare, and the Warr Physiotherapy Clinics. In 2004 she set up her own practice, Reading Footcare, offering a broad range of Podiatry treatments.

Clare-Marie Thrussell is a member of The Royal College of Podiatrists and is a registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council . She is Treasurer of the Berkshire Branch of the Royal College of Podiatrists.  Clare-Marie regularly attends courses as part of her continued professional development.
